Congratulations to our Outstanding Cobras!


WINDWARD DISTRICT SCIENCE FAIR 2014:
Ms. Tina Chan, Science teacher, and four Cobras -  Kai Johnson, Kamuela Akeo, Hiilani Alina-Kamark, and Brycen Kawamoto, represented King at the recent Windward District Science Fair at the Windward Community College. They joined other young scientists with their research projects. Congratulations to Kai Johnson for the many awards and recognition he received for his project "Tsunami Terror," a research on tsunami barriers. Congratulations and best wishes to Kamuela Akeo for moving on to the State competition with his project, "Tuning the Band," which looks at the effects of temperature on instrumentation.


WINDWARD DISTRICT HISTORY DAY: Cobra History buffs, Kamryn Yoneshige, Amanda Tanigawa, James Esaki, Maiya Carreira, Kamuela Akeo, Kai Johnson, Kau Cervantes, Hiilani Alina-Kamark, Brycen Kawamoto, Ariya Majarone, Tia Wolfgramm and Katie Ahern made history come alive with their research projects at the recent district competition. Students were guided by teachers, Ms. Susan Sugitani, Ms. Edna Narimatsu and Ms. Val Baldovi.

Congratulations to Kamryn Yoneshige as she moves on to the State Competition in April with her research paper, "World War II: Japanese Americans Fight to Prove Loyalty."
