Be Ready! Be Prepared! The flu season officially begins on October 1st of each year, and continues through mid-May of the following year. Although Hawaii experiences a flu season, we tend to see the flu year round
because of our tropical climates and tourist populations. Important information on the flu vaccination program and consent forms will be sent home on Tuesday, 8/21/12. Please ask your child for these forms. THE DEADLINE FOR THE COMPLETED CONSENT FORMS IS SEPTEMBER 7th. LATE FORMS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Flu vaccines will be administered at King on October 25, 2012 only.
Volunteers are needed that day to monitor the students at the clinic and to escort them back to their classes. If you are available on October 25th for Shift #1: 7:45 am to 10:30 am OR Shift #2: 10:15 am to 1:00 pm, please e-mail pamela_kino@notes.k12.hi.us, include your full name and which shift you want to work. Lots of walking may be involved (escorting students back to their rooms).
